St Christopher's presentation
On Thursday 6 May (Election night) a
group from the club attended an evening of traditional Irish music in St
Christopher's Hospice and presented them with a cheque for £1500
from our 10th anniversary do in February. We were made very welcome by Nigel and
Belinda of St Christopher’s together with all of the other staff on duty. With
an audience of 150 the music was provided by a quartet of supremely talented
musicians; Dermot Crehan on fiddle, J Eoin on guitar and vocals, Brendan McAuley
on uillean pipes, flutes, whistles and piano, and last but not least Mick Sands
on flute, whistle, bodhran and vocals. It was a great evening of entertainment
and, St Christopher’s provided a superb spread of food and wine at the
interval. Thanks to all those kind and caring people at St. Christopher’s
together with thanks to Ciaran, Aidan, John, Tam, Keith and Mary
